Week 5: Monday:John 1:35-51:
ReplyDeleteIn this Bible passage God sends John to tell about Jesus. John told of Jesus coming to earth. He told of Jesus being the Messiah. John was known for baptizing people. Someone would know if I believed in Jesus if I remain Christ like and obey God's commandments. Obeying God's commandments makes one stand out from the rest of th world. I believe that Christians are peculiar people!
Week 5: Tuesday:John 2:1-25:
ReplyDeleteIn this Bible passage Jesus turns water into wine. This was the first time Jesus performed a miracle. In this Bible passage Jesus also goes into a temple and sees it being used as a market placed. Jesus is very unpleased with what the people are doing. He tells them that they should not turn God's temple into a market. Jesus has surprised me in my life by giving me people who honestly love and care for me. I never dreamed that Jesus would put this many wonderful people in my life to guide me and help the right decisions and comfort me when I make the wrong ones.
Week 5: Wednesday:John 3:1-21:
ReplyDeleteIn this Bible passage a man named Nichodemus comes to Jesus and God tells him that he must be born again. Not physically but spiritually. He tells him that there is do way to get to heaven but trough HIM. I first meet Jesus truly around the fifth grade. When I started coming to Bethany I started to learn that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I realized that God was the only way. I stated to develop a love for Jesus over time and there is no turning back. I gave Jesus my whole heart and it honestly was the BEST decision I ever made.
Week 5: Thursday:Matthew 17:24-18:6:
ReplyDeleteIn this Bible passage Jesus says that the greatest in God's kingdom are children. Children are humble. Jesus also says that adults should not look down on children are cause them to sin. Jesus' teaching does surprise me a little because I would think that he would think that adults are the greatest in his kingdom because they tend to have more power and control over many things. I am glad Jesus doesn't think that way. It just shows how loving and caring he really is!
Week 5: Friday:Mark 10: 17-31:
ReplyDeleteIn this Bible passage a mac comes up to Jesus to ask what do you have to do to have eternal life. Jesus tells him to obey God's commandments. He also tells the man to give away all his things and follow him however the man walks away sadly. The hardest thing Jesus could ask me to give up is my family. I love my family so much and giving them up would be the hardest thing for Jesus to ask me to do.
