Week 6: Bible

Monday:2 Kings 11:1-21: In this Bible passage the temple of Baal was torn down and the king took his place on the throne. This caused all the people to rejoice. My best examples in life are my parents and teachers. My parents and teachers are great examples. They teach me to stay out of trouble and they give me Godly wisdom. Without my parents and teachers there is no telling where I would be or what I would be doing. My parents have raised me well and are wonderful examples. They are far from perfect however, they do their best at everything they set their minds to. In conclusion, my parents and teachers are wonderful people of God.

Tuesday:2 Kings 22:1- 23:3: In this Bible passage King Joshiah instructed his servants to rebuild the temple however, some of them took money from God's temple. The people who stool from God were to be cursed and punished. When the bible is a "lost" book in my life, I usually sway away from God. It is never good to forget th word of God because, without it I have way of defending myself against the enemy. The word of God is really a sword in a figure of speech. It good to carry God's word with you where ever you go so that you always have something to battle temptation with. To conclude, I pray that God's word never become a "lost" book in my life ever again!

Wed. Ezra 3:7-13: In this Bible passage Joshua and the people of Israel built the temple God and its foundation. Everyone was over filled with joy when they were finally done building God's temple. Honestly when I am working on a large project, I feel very stressed out. Projects are sometimes very difficult to do. When I am finally done with a project, I feel relieved and proud that I was able to accomplish it. It is a great feeling knowing that you put your heart into doing something and it turns out well. I can see why the people were so proud and happy when they were done building the temple. They accomplished something that they worked extremely hard on. In conclusion, This is how I feel when working on a large project.

Thurs. Nehemiah 2:1-20 In this Bible passage Nehemiah asked the king to let him go to Jerusalem   and rebuild because, it was the land of his ancestors. The king allowed him to do so therefore, Nehemiah set off with a few other man to help and assist him. But when three other men hers they accused Nehemiah of rebelling against the king. One relationship in my life that needs to be rebuilt is my relationship with one of my friends. I have not talked to her in over three years. This is really sad being, that sh was like my best friend. Th reason why we stopped talking was that she moved. I hope one day to restore the friendship. In conclusion, this is what the Bible passage means to me.

Fri. Nehemiah 5:1-19: In this Bible passage Nehemiah shares his grain and crops with the Jews due to the famine. Nehemiah asked God to remember him and all the things he did for his people. I sometimes help the poor by donating a few dollars to foundations but, I can honestly say that I do not do much to help the poor. I very blessed and I realize that I should and could be making more of an effort to help the poor. Sometimes I take everything I have for granted and forget to help those who are less fortunate. In conclusion, I will make more of an effort to help the poor.

Week 5 Bible

Tues. 1 Kings 22: 29-40 : In this Bible passage the king dies and everything he worked for and accomplishes dies with him. I am tempted to think that I can hide from good when I do something that I am ashamed of. What I sometime fail to realize is that I cannot hide from God. No one can hide from God. He sees and knows everything. When I do something that I am ashamed of I should just be honest with God even though he already  knows anything that I could possibly hide from him. God truly loves for us to be honest with him. The king in the Bible passage should not have tried to hide that he was going into battle. In the long run it resulted in his death. In conclusion, I truly believe honesty is indeed the best policy!

Wed. 2 Kings 2: 1-12 : In this Bible passage Elijah is taken up into heaven and Elisha inherits a double portion of his spirit. When I make up a commitment I try my best to carry it out. It usually depends on what the commitment is. If the commitment is serious I do my best to follow through. In this Bible passage Elijah kept his promise. I would love to be a women of my word. I  believe I should try harder to follow though on my commitments. Commitments are very important and should be taken very seriously no matter how big or small!

Thurs. 2 Kings 2: 13-25: In this Bible passage God allows Elisha heals the water, meaning he makes it pure and clean. Elisha also curses a few boys  for insulting him. Someone else might know that I have a deep respect for God by the way I present myself. If I dress modestly, show respect to others, be kind, witness to others etc., people will know by my actions that I have a deep respect for God. It is very important to always present yourself in the best manner because, not only are you representing yourself and your family, but your representing God. I believe everyone should have a deep respect for God being that he is the loving creator of this entire universe. In conclusion, I try to show more respect for God by doing a few of the things that I listed!

Fri. 2 Kings 5: 1-27: In this Bible passage a man comes to Elisha to be healed of leprosy although he does not have faith that God can heal him by just washing him in the Jordan seven times. In the end of this Bible passage the man in his descendants are cursed with leprosy forever. One of the small things that I refuse to do for God is witness. Many people don't realize it,but I am very shy! It is very hard for me to go out in public and talk to random people. I need to let go and let God and not have a spirit of fear. I believe that through God, I have the ability to bring numerous people to Christ! I need to get over my shyness and go out and witness. To conclude, I will try to stop refusing to do small things for God and just give him my complete all.

Week 5

Monday: In this bible passage Ahab and Jezebel were devoured by dogs and birds for stealing a vineyard. I believe justice is very important in my life. I hate when things are unjust. Justice is when the wrong get what they deserve. I think justice keeps me out of alot of trouble in numerous situations. I believe justice should always preveal. It keeps good people out of jail and other place. To conclude, I think Jezebel and Ahab what they deserved. truly

Monday week 2

Mon. 2 Samuel 12: 1-12 David and Nathan:
In this Bible passage David Uriah and marries his wife. The Lord becomes very mad at David for doing this because, God had given David everything he could ever ask for yet, he had to Uriah's wife. I think my closest friends love me enough to correct me.I have four best friends that I can always go to. Each of them correct me if I do something that is Godly or wrong. I believe these friends are great examples for me. In conclusion, I believe everyone should have at least one friend who is willing to correct them!

Tues. 2 Sam. 12: 13-25 David Confesses:
In this Bible passage David is given a child however, since he had sinned God told David that his child would die. David grieved and fasted until the death of his child. After his child dies he began to stop fasting and grieving. God blessed David with another son and David named the child  Jedidiah. When I ask God for forgiveness I feel wonderful. It is nice to know God loves me even when I make mistakes. I know that I truly do not deserve God's forgiveness however, he continues to forgive me and never stops loving me. When I ask God for forgive I try not to make the same mistakes even though I often do. To conclude, God is amazing and I love him with all my heart.

Wed. 2 Samuel 14: 1-33 Absalom Returns:
In this Bible passage a women comes to the king and tells him that one of her sons had struck the other killing the only heir. In my family we deal with conflict by just talking it through. Once we talk we usually all get along. Sometimes dealing with family conflict is difficult and very hard to deal with. My family usually gets along for the most part though. My sister and I are really the only ones who have trouble getting along. This could be partly because we share a room and we're only a year and a half apart but, we get along sometimes. To conclude, this is how my family  deals with conflict.

Thurs. 2 Samuel 15: 1-37 Family Betrayal:
In this Bible passage David goes up the mount of Olives weeping because of Ahithophel and Absalom's actions. There are numerous people that help me to keep my motives clear. The main people to help me keep my motives clear are my parents. My parents help me to have a pure mind and do things that are Godly. Without my parents I most likely would not have clear motives. My parents have taught me that I can do anything that I set my mind to and that I should remain Godly. My parents play and extremely important role in my life. In conclusion, they help me to keep pure motives!

Fri. 2 Samuel 18: 1-18 The Death of Absalom:
In this Bible passage Ablsalom get gets caught on an oak tree while his mule takes of and leaves him there. Ablsalom dies and is buried and rocks are but over his grave in the forest. I am most likely to lose control in situations where something goes wrong. If something does not go according to plan I often get frustrated and lose control of the situation. Everything becomes out of order. I need to try not to lose control in situations like this. I n the Bible passage the people lost control because of the death of Ablsalom. In conclusion, this shows me that everyone looses control sometimes.
